We arrived late afternoon at the oldest and biggest national park in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s home to the last virgin forest in Europe. You will find here also the highest peak in the country – Maglic Mountain (2386 m). Sutjeska is also familiar with the Battle of the Sutjeska in 1943 during World War II, that’s why there are so many huge socialistic monuments spread around the valley.
