We made shortstop and visit of the city, which was the capital of the medieval kingdom of Kings Volkasin and Marko, which explains a large number of churches and monasteries in and around the city. In historical sources Prilep was first mentioned in the year 1014, the city was built on the important ancient roads Via Egnatia and the Via Militaris. Throughout the centuries, in this area, Hellenic, Roman, Byzantine, and Slavic cultures met and collided.
