Palić lake is located in Vojvodina, 8 kilometers from the town of Subotica. It is the largest natural lake in Serbia with the deepest point at 3,5 meters. The water is salty because the lake was created from the ancient Pannonian Sea that once bathed the shores of today’s Pannonian Plain. Nowadays it is one of the most popular destinations in Serbia and the host of a film festival. The lake is famous for its curative mud used in the spa center for recovery and treatments. It has many hotels, restaurants, promenades and three beaches with showers, the water temperature of the lake is between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
