The town was built at the height of 600 meters on a mountain slope of the Pindos Mountain range overlooking the valley where the rivers Aoos and Voidomatis meet. We were not sure about the winding road up, so we parked on the main road and took our scooter to drive around the city to see the old town on the hill and the Ottoman-era bridge built in Aoos Gorge in 1870. In the evening we tried local Gyros (3 EUR) and another Greek beer Amstel (Αμστελ – 0,5 l / 3 EUR). On the way back we bought nice local sweets at Πες Αλεύρι.
