We made shortstop in Garðskagi, where we found two lighthouses, the older one and also the smaller of the two was once mentioned as one of the best lighthouses in Iceland. A new bigger 28 meters high lighthouse was built in 1944. At the moment the lighthouse is a radar transponder and it is used for weather surveillance.
