On the way to the north, we have stopped in Aarhus – the second largest city in Denmark. Aarhus is situated in a green valley surrounded by woods and beaches – in fact, a typically beautiful East Jutland landscape. We anchored our truck for an overnight in the harbor in famous DOKK1, just a few steps from Old Town. The original city grew up around the mouth of the Aarhus River. Here the Vikings decided to settle because of the location’s excellent potential as a harbor and trading position. In the center, we visited Cathedral from 1201.
