On the way to Abha, we made a few stops. Again, we saw baboons, but this time they were not shy but aggressive, trying to steal anything from the cars or people around.
We also met two young male members of the Qahtan tribe known as “Flower Men” for their intricately-made floral headpieces. The flower crowns of red and orange blooms are worn to enhance both beauty and health. They now sell these traditional crowns to visitors to the region.
Our last stop was on the market by the road, where we did taste local honey, but some sellers proudly told us they also sell honey imported from Russia 😱.
