Burundi has abundant water resources, including Lake Tanganyika, but faces challenges in ensuring access to clean drinking water, with disparities between urban and rural areas. So, we also faced not only a diesel shortage but also the problem of refilling our water tank. Luckily, a member of the staff from the governor’s office led us to some places where we were supposed to get water. After several attempts, we found a water treatment plant a few kilometers behind Muyinga and paid 20000 BIF.
