Kabale is a small town between Mbarara and Kisoro, and it is near the southwest’s national parks and wildlife reserves, including Bwindi. We only drove through to the region’s star attraction, Lake Bunyonyi. As for Kabale itself, this lively market and university town isn’t really a party town, but the welcoming atmosphere and the vibrant influx of students bring diverse and fresh experiences. We took a short walk around, shopped in the local supermarket, and had great food at Numba Cafe.
