The Kaldidalsvegur (officially known as Road 550) is a highland track in Iceland, with a length of 40 km. It is a thrill to drive in Kaldidalsvegur. Driving the ring road in Iceland is one thing but driving off-road is another thing! The landscape of Kaldidalsvegur is mind-boggling – you see rocks and again rocks and behind amazing glaciers and massive peaks. The route begins a bit north of Þingvellir National Park and leads to the west of the Skjaldbreiður volcano. The track continues between the glaciers Þórisjökull and Ok and goes to the north to Húsafell.
