We used this tiny village as our starting point for “The Edge of the World.” Since our first approach was unsuccessful, we did overnight next to the minimarket and bakery (fresh huge bread 1 SAR) and to the house of our driver, who promised to bring us there again tomorrow with a better car.
The village of Sadus is located 70 km northwest of Riyadh. During the last 25 years, the village has been abandoned and has become a ruin. The partially renovated mud village has a compact fabric surrounded by a high wall and protection corner towers. The streets are very narrow, and many bridges connect the houses facing each other. The village has about 85 houses within less than 10000 square meters.
